I can't believe how well Lips has sold, well should I be? for the type of game it is, it is VERY fun and they did a great job.

According to VGChartz database there have been 40 different Singstars released. Lips has already sold better than 35 of them and shows no sign of slowing down.

1) Singstar (PS2) - 1.71M

2) Singstar Pop (PS2) - 1.12M

3) Singstar Party (PS2) - 1.08M

4) Singstar Legends (PS2) - 0.83M

5) Singstar (PS3) - 0.79M

6) Lips (X360) - 0.72M

Better yet its done that in 10 weeks! and this isn't a front loaded game.

When all is said and done do you think it can beat Singstar Pop? Do you think the next Lips can go all the way to the top?

I believe it can with some more modern songs in DLC. Then again, I am sure it brings back memories from the 80s and 90s so I might be wrong on this. Either way DLC is guaranteed for a long time for this IP.

I am very surprised at the legs on this thing.

And I usually buy 1 or 2 DLC songs a week for Lips.

very impressive indeed, I'm pretty sure it will pass Singstar Pop....little chance of passing 1.71 (most successful Singstar). Regardless, its a great success for Microsoft....

 Wow, I thought Singstar had sold much better than this. I expected at least a couple of them to have hit 3 million.

So comparatively Lips is doing well, but I guess singing games werent as big as I fought.

I am about to be a complete dick and go against nearly everything I believe in.

You do realize that 360 fanboys use the bundling excuse whenever pretty much ANY PS3 game sells well, but look the other way when it's done with their games? Lips was bundled to hell. I really doubt that the data for those Singstar games are complete, since the games in the series tend to sell for years.

Let's wait until the Lips series has 40 games before passing any sort of judgment.

Hate to break it to you seece..........the sales records for Singstar are very very incomplete on this site. As a matter of fact by June 08 the Singstar franchise had sold 10 million in the EU.

Singstar Abba already has 1 million sales when PS3 and PS2 sales combine, not shabby at all for just one group.
