I have been looking into getting Play On so I can watch Hulu and a few other things on my 360.  I see that they charge for it now and was wondering if there is a free alternative out there.  While I don't think $30 is a lot of money to spend on something like Hulu, it would be waistful if they decide to add Hulu on the next 360 update.

Does anyone here use Playon or another freeware type app?  If you do please post your opinions of it and if you think its worth the $.  Thanks.

Dude, Hulu looks like garbage on the tv. Are you sure you want to go that route? It is like half a step above Youtube quality. Hell, it doesn't even look good on the computer.

Hulu "HD" has nothing to do with HD. It's standard def 480 resolution.

Just netflix.

Hulu has some stuff I was wanting to watch, and I didn't know that it looked so bad.

I was wanting to check out the old tv series Lost in space and I hate watching it on my laptop. It's speakers really suck. I am not to concerned with the quality as long as it is compatible to VHS.

Like I said, I do not want to pay for anything. But if it is free I would be very happy to stream some stuff.

If you don't care too much about quality, yeah, give it a try.  You could skip the middle man and hook your laptop up to the tv.

i watched an episode of family guy last night on hulu. Looked just like it was on TV to me. Granted I don't have an HDTV, but meh, it looked fine. It was free too.

I'll be waiting for that day.
