This isn't, to the best of my knowledge, about which character would beat up the other.

Laughing while he swings the sword isn't all that I mean, there. I also refer to how he kills people, then laughs, kills people, looks at CLoud, then laughs, etc. He does this throughout the story. Guy laughs a lot. People like to pretend he was emotionless, but Sephiroth was pretty damned expressive.
Pixel Art can be fun.
