I understand Capcom's desire to give the game a more crisis management feel as it is survival horror and not pure action, but that could've been done better in a more obvious way. Anyway to make this more organized, here's what sucks about the demo:
1.) if Capcom wanted to give the player more crisis management, they should've made the enemies RUN instead of WALK, and SWING their bloody axes instead of HEAVING the damn thing as if its heavier than a suitcase.
2.) if this were the case, then they should've given the player the ability to MOVE WHILE SHOOTING. This mechanic of having to stop to shoot is ridiculously outdated, sluggish, unenjoyable, and difficult to use. If the enemies were faster and more realistic, this will still give the player the sense of urgency that survival horror needs. Even cops and soldiers in REAL LIFE can move while shooting. Even you and I can move while shooting. I'm not asking for Gears of War. I'm asking for some ability of motion.
3.) aside from the fact that the enemies move like they're all drunk on gin, they seem to be all awfully stupid. They crowd all around you and keep pushing and shoving each other while only one guy actually winds up attempting to swing his axe.
Basically, the gameplay and the enemy AI is severely lacking. The graphics are rather nice, but none that Farcry 2 or Uncharted hasn't seen. The mechanic of slow enemies + inability to move while shooting can easily be replaced with fast enemies + ability to walk while shooting, and it will give even more crisis management to the player. Anyway as it stands, the game rather sucks. The enemy dudes aren't even dead zombies but they move like corpses.
