Forums - Nintendo - So should I buy RE5 on 360 or wait for it to come on the Wii?

People say that RE4 has great controls and that alone is good enough for me as the game already looked good. Now I haven’t played it on the Wii but anything if done right can be allot more fun with Wii controls.

Sure the game will not look as good as the HD games but Capcom is known for its great grafix and they sure can make the game look better than RE4 on Wii.

Yes I am sure that the game will eventually come to the Wii. EA just announced Dead Space is coming to the Wii and I was pissed of because I did not wait a bit longer before getting the game on my 360.

Now if you also owned a Wii beside your HD console what would you do? Buy it with the crap controls (as I have read some say) or wait for it to come on the Wii with great RE4 controls?

I'd wait and see how they did with Dead Rising on Wii.. If like I suspect, they did a shit job then no don't wait for a Wii version

I'd wait to see what more information is revealed about the Wii version.

Make sure it's not gonna be gimped somehou (and I mean by areas, items, plotlines, and such)

As far as the controls go, yu may want to rent RE4:Wii and see how you like it. For me the biggest problem with RE4 is the inability to reset the damn keys so I can't use the gun shell the way that would make sense to me (Nunchuck trigger for fire). To me that would be an essential problem to correct on RE5 to buy it on Wii.

Overall I feel it's lame to just say "better graphics" as manner of cosole preferance, however I think this could be one of the cases where it may matter. I only offer this because historically the RE series has a very substantial element to the game when it comes to the art. The gameplay itself is enhanced by the lighting effects and things that the game uses. So it may be something to look at. However, with Mikami not involved with this one, and if the art direction borrows to much from the movies, than I really wouldn't consider it a factor at all. I'll try to demo this when I get home (AFTER HALO WARS!!!) and I'll let you knoe if my opinion is swayed at all.

As a HD owner and Wii owner.

I would probably rather the game on Wii.

However atm I am not to keen on the whole game in general how it has turned out.

Er... I don't think the Wii version isn't even announced, but I'd wait for the Wii version if it came out.

Just like how over 2 million PS2 versions waited until Capcom caved in and released RE4 on their console.

@puffy: I think they will expend much more effort on a RE5 port than Dead Rising. It's their biggest franchise!

There will surely be another RE game on the Wii, but it may not be RE5.

I wouldn't wait for a Wii version. Chances are they'd degrade it like Dead Rising.

They would downgrade it for the Wii. And since RE5 can have RE4 controls, I won't worry. It'll just take a bit of getting used to, and the much better graphics more then make up for it.

I don't think we gonna see RE:5 on Wii, maybe on WiiHD, if and when it is released. But I don't think Capcom can afford to ignore the wii install base and not release another version of RE.

I think the next resident evil released will be for wii, I hope they do a proper third person game and not an on-rails shooter.

So, if you have to play RE:5 you got no other choice but if can wait you will be, in all probability, blessed with a different RE game with great controls . Personally am skipping it now.

wait for it on the wii. its gonna look twice as better and coming soon.
