I just don't want it to seem like KZ2 is a failure if it DOESN'T sell 1.1 million (which it won't) in Europe for the first week.

it's abit unrealistic to think that this will do better than MGS4's first week.

even if we were to take this 1.1 million and say killzone 2 will get half that, 550k in one region is lovely for the first week.

not really unrealistic since only so many people are into mgs4 since it is a niche game compared to how many people like fps's.

Unlike mgs4, look at the amount of hype kz2 has had over the last year!

The advertising budget is apparently twice that off lbp. Not sure what the lbp figure was but I seen plenty of lbp adds.

Also, on n4g, there is an article how japan is going crazy over kz2. This maybe the 1st shooter to break the Japanese Market!

@bolded thats true. for a minute i forgot this was just SCEE numbers.

Too bad about the staggered EU/NA release, the combined first week numbers could possibly have been amazing. it's always possible that at least some NA first day numbers will make the cut and be counted together with the EU ones though

too bad it only releases on 23 April in Japan.

They should have struck while the iron was hot.

It's also the same day Monster Hunter G (Wii) releases. really bad timing IMO

true, I don't understand Sony at times. They make the games region free yet have different release dates.

Anyone know when the uk demo will be up? As in what time? I keep checking psn every few mins :s

I presume about 12-13h00 GMT.

There is always a possibly that a PS3 game let alone a gmae like Killzone 2 to have a 1.1 million first week. There is still a few more weeks left and mattering customer demand these numbers will increase. As they increase the possibility that 1m in a region increases.
