Discussion about Killer Instinct on a different thread got me thinking about fighting games I really disliked over the years.  To that end what is your personal worst fighting game of all time choice?

   Mine is pretty hands down Shaq Fu.  The only thing worse then the gameplay was the concept (Shaq in a mystical world fighting to save humanity....it made kazaam look brilliant).  Though to make things more interesting I'm going to pick a game not on the worst fighting games of all time list made by gametrailers.com and go with Clayfighter.  I would have to put KI Gold as the runner up for worst though (among those not on the top 10 list presented in the video below)

   Enjoy the below video and realize how blessed we are to have even mediocre fighters like Mortal Combat vs DC Universe today.

Hey I love Killer Instinct.

I have shaq-fu. Borrowed it from a friend and then he moved away. :D

As a proud owner of both Killer Instinct Gold and Shaq Fu (only cost $2!), I have to say the worst fighter was either Pit Fighter (SNES), The Best of the Best (SNES), Rise of the Robots (PC), or Mace: The Dark Ages (N64).

Now I'll watch the video and see if any of those are on their list.

hmm I remember War Gods on N64 and a Snes game with Balls fighters or something like that were really crappy. But I barely played them, so I'd agree with Clayfighters.

Edit: KI Gold was awesome, and Mortal vs DC is enjoyable too.

Rise of the Robots.

This is not an opinion, Rise of the Robots was, and always will be, the worst fighting game ever made in the history of mankind.

Dude ShaqFu wasn't THAT bad. I mean I prefered playing street fighter 2 turbo on my SEGA genesis, but that little monkey boy and that bionic soldier were all right....it was bad though....fuck it was horrible (runs off crying). I'm just trying to rationalize why something so bad happened to me when I was so young.

The Good thing... Shaq Fu came with a free CD of shaquille rapping....That was bad too. God what a fucking piece of shit.

Rise of the Robots

Oh man best of the best, I forgot about that one. Mortal Kombat Advance is an absolutely horrid game that I forgot about as well. That game just should never have been made, there are some things the advance gameboy platform was never capable of and making a decent fighting game was one of them.

I owned both Killer Instinct games as well and played a pretty mean Fulgore. I was kind of blind to how bad they were at the time because I only played Nintendo games/systems. Once I left the bubble and played things like Tekken and Virtua Fighter I realized just how blinded I had been by the cult of Nintendo Power.
