Bought Miner Dig Deep, and I have to say, it's an awesome game! Kind of reminds me of... Dig Dug meets Harvest Moon or something.

Ok, so it isn't just me who had a weird day and got hooked on it.  The game reminds me of a lot of those old Splunking (going underground) games I recall in the 8 bit days, that included Splunker, Caverns of Kafka(?), and The Pit.  And throw in a bit of Mr. Driller also here.  And elements of RPG grinding into the mix, and that is what Miner Dig Deep appears to me.  Harvest Moon might be a good way to describe it.  Harvest using farming as an RPG grinding method.  Here, it is digging.  Miner is likely much simplier though.

I find it a bit hard to describe.  I guess the best way to describe it is that it is is to a mining sim what an arcade racing game is to a driving sim.

By the way, how far down have you gone?  I think I got down over 500 meters.  The elevators they have cost a bunch, but they are worth it.  I hope teleporter technology becomes available in the game.

Weapon of Choice = Gunstar Heroes revisited. Nathan Fouts is a pretty neat guy. For $5, you support a great new dev.

I would say it is Gunstar Heroes as far as being in the same category of of "quirky side scrolling shooter".  Gunstar is MUCH faster than Weapon of Choice though.  Is Nathan the guy who has ties to the Ratchet and Clank team?

So far i have purchased Biology Battle, Being and Johnny platforms biscuit romp! I love BB, a game that controls like Geometry wars but to me is funner. Being is a short and difficult platforming game that i had alot of fun with. Johnny is a funny and different platforming game that takes a decent amout of time to finish but is worth every penny! Iv also downloaded alot of the demos and liked some and hated others! Alot of new and cool games though!!!

Wow. I've only gotten down to about 30m.

Well, give it time.  There are some nice goodies down there, but also other things to worry about, like an ice wall you need to blast through, and LONG verticle pits that you fall into if you aren't alert.  You get tools to offset this, and better lanterns help. Do remember to save EVERY time you are up on top, and then reload if you die.  You want to be able to hoard the cash.

Investing in an elevator does help big time to, so keep that in mind.

Will do, thanks. I think I need to start a new game.

It also goes with light, rather than fuel, so that you don't worry about running out of gas.  You also have to worry about boulders falling.  I would consider Miner to be a revised and improved version of that.
