Forums - Microsoft - Race Pro new video

Finally a game worthy of the simulation name on a console.

For ages now Simbin have been providing the most realistic racing titles available for the PC, picking up all the awards for such a feat year after year.

The half sim games like GT5P and Forza 2 games have been great on console, but finally we experience Simbins new racing and physics engine for sims on a console first. The reviews may not be high from console reviewers, but I guarentee the reason will be due to accessability.

If you think your a simulation lover, forget Forza and GT and experience the genius of Simbin if you havent already played the masterclass on PC that is GTR 2.

Damn, I suck at simulation racers.

I am horrid at racing sims. But I'm also horrid at smups, and I bought two this week! So I might get this, as Eurogamer made it sound pretty good (8/10).

Did you get RType? I am going to after I get off of work.

Yeah, and it's a great remake. Those games are as awesome as I remember them being. But I'm also a lot worse than I remember being.

I'll probably get this.... when it's $20.

I ended up getting the game at my local GameStop since it comes with extra DLC car.

I really enjoy the game so far, it's no beauty queen like GRID or GT5P but if you enjoy just pure racing game then you will love this game. I set the game to no assist and the car handling is one of the best on console. Also if you are gear head and enjoy tweaking and adjusting all the setting there are plenty. That said the game default setting work just as well if you not incline to do all that.

The game do have some technical issue, and 30fps take a bit of adjustment from Forza2 or GT5P but no worst than when adjusting to GRID and PGR4. The game do lack a bit of polish and not quiet as smooth as GRID but the occasional hic-up didn't really affect the driving all that much and once you get into how good the handling is you pretty much tune out other stuff.

I am sure the game will sell poorly and it's vey niche title but I am hoping it sell well enough for SimBin to take a second stab at console racing game.

I need to play the demo first... not sure if I can stomach the frameskip/tearing. By the way, how bad it is?
