Forums - Nintendo - Dead Space confirmed for the Wii

I would have stopped discussing it, but they kept reading my comments as the opposite of what I wrote.

As for Dead Space, I really anticipate as much whining if it doesn't look the way they think it should. They could even apply the Rogue Squadron games as proof, but ships are still static objects, unlike the enemies in either of these games.

I'll have to wait to see what Dead Space will be like, but it's cook the Wii is getting more support.

Yeah it's pointless to discuss with someone who thinks a game like this (click the red button when it appears) is somehow going to be in the pantheon of well developed games.

I'm half tempted to report this, only it's a strawman, not outright trolling.

Claiming a system can't handle a game past a certain degree is not the same as claiming the game will actuall be great, and you know it.

Well I'm glad you don't believe that. I thought you did since you said (either in this thread or another one I forget) that Capcom has good developers working on this and that this game is doing what it can considering the hardware. Those are certainly two characteristics that would to this being a well developed game.

If I misinterpreted you I apologize, and I'm glad I was wrong.

It doesn't matter whether Dead Rising is "well developed" or not. The team is doing what they can. The game is closer to GTA than RE4, in that you have huge areas with lots of assets. Heck, if it was only a 6th gen system, it would look at best like a GTA game. As it is, it looks about 2-3 three times more detailed than the GTA games on the Xbox.

As for Dead Space (trying to get back on topic here), I don't know. If the game is linear, without lots of enemies, like RE4, then the game could likely look as detailed as RE4. I'd have to find high quality screens and videos to be sure.

Okay, after watching Gametrailer's review, it looks as though EA could go several ways with this. But I think making it look as much like RE4 as possible is most likely, given that this game seems to graphically take from that the most.

Still have to see some screens, though.

I would say it looks much more similar to Metroid Prime 3 than RE4.

I don't mean the look of the setting. I mean texturing, animations, and shading.
