Five Quick Points of Criticism:

1) Xbox 360 outsold PS3 in 2007

2) Xbox 360 outsold PS3 in 2008

3) Shipments as of Dec 2006 were 10.4m vs. 1.7m (Xbox 360 LTD vs. PS3 LTD). As of December 2008 that 8.7m lead changed dramatically to...wait for it...28.5m vs. 21.3m...a 7.2m shipped lead Microsoft. 18.1m vs. 19.6m units shipped from Jan 1 2007 to Dec 31 2008 for 360 and PS3 respectively.  Making up 15% of the original defecit in two years suggests that the defecit would be closed in...wait for it...13+ years. Good luck with that. Ignore the fact that the growth largely comes from PS3 supply constraints through early 2007 and the fact that the extra shipments came from having more skus, and more expensive skus on the market during the numerous transitions to "new gig-levels"

4) Wii is not in a different market. If it didn't exist, the PS3 and 360 user bases would have more games, and more people using them. With more games, the companies could probably afford to drop their console prices a bit faster because they could cover the cost with the extra software. Wii game shipments are over 300m to date. At an average price of $50, thats a $15,000,000,000 chunk of cash not available to be spent on Xbox 360 and PS3 games. Money doesn't grow on trees. If its spent on Wii, its not spent on PS3/360.

5) How much lower could PS3 go in 2007 frankly? It had a couple weeks before the European launch where it sold less than 50,000 units a week worldwide.

Its true though. Not even crazzyman would say something that was that crazy. No one is saying he can't have different preferences, what was said is that his comment was really stupid, which it was.

Still the same Gamecube, Wii and DS though.
