Last time I mentioned God of War 3 having some sort of online aspects in another forum about a month ago I got mostly negative results. People saying that it would ruin GoW if it was 2 player, it'd go against the nature of Kratos to have a buddy tag along, it'd ruin the storyline etc.

I personally much prefer playing games with my friends, I loved the coop in Resistance FoM, even though they never acknowledged the second player in the story but that didn't matter. "The door is closed, only Hale made it through.... oh and the black guy that follows him around too"

An online arena deathmatch mode would be cool, with a colluseum-esque feel to it.

It would be really awesome if God of War IIIwas an amazing online mode.

This game will push waaaay more consoles than KZ2... I think anyway.

 I agree with this,  plus this sounds like another possible delay to this game.  Maybe pushing it back to Fall 2010.  If it means it will come out sooner,  I say forget the multiplayer.  This series doesnt need it to be great

I'm somewhat skeptical about this. God of War is very strongly focused around a single character, and I can't think of a single similar game to have a functional online component.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't love to see one, though. ^^

No online mode, please. god of war should be a single player game, nothing else.

It wouldn't hurt to have a multiplayer option as well. Some of us like to game with friends (and I don't mean lets all watch me play god of war)

I've never bought any God of War games yet, played them in my m8's house, they're ok. I'm more of a splitscreen, coop or online multiplayer kinda person. So if God of War has online, this is good news for me.

I like to game with friends, but not every game needs multiplayer. Especially a game that can easily hold its own in single player.
