Forums - General Discussion - Best Buy Sunday flyer doesn't even mention Sony's PlayStation 3

http://techblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2009/02/best-buy-sunday-flyer-doesnt-e.html

Like I said, maybe it was just a one-week blip, but the PS3 is clearly lagging right now. If major electronics retailers like Best Buy (actually, I think Best Buy might be the only major electronics retailer left) are not even bothering to showcase Sony's console in a 32-page brochure designed to highlight the hottest consumer items, well, Sony can't be happy about that.

Just wondering, do companies like Microsoft and Nintendo pay Best Buy for advertisement?

or is this just Best Buy's decision?

Around the Network

There are Ps3 advertisements both on TV, and in most game stores in Norway. Far more than for X360/Wii...

LBP alone might have had more ad time than Wii had overall in 08 (but that's just a hunch).

So, no - it's not like that up where hell freezes under.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

No, it's not very unusual for companies to do that, for example a big chain electronic store in Canada called Futureshop does that all the time. Sometimes they'll advertise 360 &PS3 and no wii, then they might not include the 360 or PS3 in another flyer. Doesn't mean anything really.

" Rebellion Against Tyrants Is Obedience To God"

This happened all the time.

Although with Circuit City gone, Best Buy holds a monopoly.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."
