I was using type D.

 

But, I do admit I didn't give this demo the fullest chance. I was annoyed at the controls and I did skim over the other controls but they didn't look too different...I'll try it again later.

Other things to note:

Stop bashing the guy for getting it after playing on the Wii, lots of playstation owners are complaining about the controllers as well

The chainsaw dude seems stupidly easy, he will stand right at your front for some good 5 seconds before trying anything. I had to leave so i let him behead me, and guess what? I CAN'T EVEN SEE MYSELF GETTING BEHEADED. I mean, wtf?

After the executioner rips open a hole in the wall, jump through the window, head through the broken gates, to the left and up the ladder. the executioner cannot get up there, just fight off the other baddies. Knife anyone who tries to climb up.

the chainsaw guy wasn't too bad. I beat it on my third try with some random dude online. As he gets near you, run away, do a quick 180, blast him until he is stunned... melee, and repeat. Explosive barrels help as well.

 

I'd also suggest changing it to the "Type A" (aka RE4) control scheme as it isn't default in the north american versions, apparantly.

thats a great way to stay alive, but i prefer dominating the executioner by knifing and melee attacks in one small area.

I still don't understand what all the fuzz is about, did anyone expect anything different after the first gameplay videos?? Did you all not play Resident Evil 4?? I loved Resident Evil 4 exactly for what it was, it is not meant to be controlled like gears, the standing still is on purpose and I think it's what made Resident Evil 4 brilliant. Resident Evil 5 is no different. I have to admit though Chris really is slower then Leon and that's kinda annoying me and yes the Wii controls pwn these, but that was expected.

Try cranking up the aim sensitivity as well, if you hadn't already. The default aim speed is incredibly slow.

To anyone else who hasn't played yet and did play RE4 on GC/PS2 - Turn controls to "Type A" before you try. Controls as you'd expect it to in RE4. I have the japanese PSN demo and that's the default scheme.

you shouldnt be even playing an anolog controler. What games were you playing last gen? have you played RE4 with a GC controler?

Anyway, as I've stated before, I played RE4 on the freakin Wii. After that, I attempted to play RE4 on the GCN and it was awkward. 

 

No need to insult me because I don't like the controller scheme.

Why did you download RE5 demo when your not use to analog controller?

honestly i know what you were thinking.Just be thankful that a mod is keeping an eye on me. 

 

 

....you're pretty cool, you know that? I've used an analog controller many times in gaming. I do own a N64, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, GCN, PS3, and 360. I'm not saying I suck with an analog controller. I'm saying I'm not used to gameplay like this with an analog controller. Feels awkward imo.

 

No need to threaten me btw. :3

 any other games that felt "awkward" to you when you play analog controllers?
