maybe I'm so unimpressed because I recently finished Uncharted and as a 3rd person shooter Uncharted is 10 years ahead of RE5

this game is great. Capcom made the series even better by adding co-op. It makes it so much more enjoyable. If you liked RE4 then you'll love RE5. It's like RE4 on steriods as you and your mate fight for survial and kick ass at the same time. The battles are intense and frantic, and you are constantly running to get some space between you and the enemies. I've played the demo about 10 times straight already and can't get enough of it. I just hope I don't lose interest in it before the game is released lol Anyway, I'll say it again. Everything's perfect (more of less anyway). However if you didn't like RE4 then you won't like this one either. If you liked RE4 then you're on for a real treat. I can't wait for what they have install for the full game. Though, this is game that to get the full experience both players need a headset, and obviously don't bother with the AI partner. I can't really think any downsides really apart from the fact that the wii controls would allow greater speed and accuracy but nevertheless you can still pull off head shots and target body parts with the ds controller. I also missed the briefcase but that is a minor complaint. |
I basically agree, just based on the demo. They did tweak the controls (type C or D) so that you can strafe and rotate the camera. Otherwise, it feels like RE4 (still can't move while shooting) with a partner.
Headset would definitely help. I'm getting a new one by the time KZ2 comes out, so that shouldn't be a problem. My old PS2 one finally died.

yeah likewise , re4 was unlike re3 actually a lot of fun.. but it was neither a resident evil nor a survial horror game .the series hit a dead end with re 3 , and re 4 cant even be considered part of it anymore because its totallly different and the connection with older titles is very slim , they should have named it something like "capcoms 3rd person shooter" instead
so im curious how the demo of "capcoms 3rd person shooter part 2" turns out .im at 27 %
Wow, the ps3 version looks terrible compared to the 360 version (which looks divine , like real-time CGI)
demo is okay ... the controllers feel a little ..clunky as for the rest
its as expected a rehash of the re 4 gameplay that somehow turned worse.. might rent it once i run out of games to play
In the other thread, someone said it's almost 1 GB. On the 360 it was 400-something MB. Any reason for this difference?

you tried both? That would be rather surprising.

same here, justfinished Uncharted this weekend and can't believe I had missed this game for so long. Tried the demo and it's ok, but the shooting is too sluggish for my taste. Would be ok for an old style RE, but not when you have 10 guys in front of you like if it was a shooter... just clumsy.
