The "Yes it's real" from the year before? The only remotely negative preview was the 2005 one. The media hyped it up as much as the fans. Even the "Knifing" stuff was taken out of context and was a positive preview. Every hyped exclusive gets a ton of hate from fanboys, Killzone 2 was not the only one that had detractors. Halo 3 got tons of hate for looking like an original Xbox game, for being Halo 2.5, ect ect. It's not triumphant that a game this big turned out good. |
Killzone 2 - PS3

Finally, a PS3 game worthy of the "Killzone" name! Just be glad the name isn't "Resistance" or "Gears of War", because then this would totally fall short. It's boring, from the all-gray graphics to the level design (hey, another warehouse!) to the set pieces, which involve such exciting things as blowing up a small bridge or opening a very large door with a hand crank. Yes, it's chaotic like a real war zone, but being a poor man's Call of Duty just isn't going to cut it.
Score: 6
Anyway most previews are always trying to be positive one way or another. If you compare previews to other games, Killzone didn't had that much love.
