I have to say that some of those videos look pretty awful... Looks like they used the "draw gray circle on the floor" method for shadows (even when the enemies are lying down instead of standing up).
The chainsaw one (chapter 3, lower left corner), omg. The animations/models need a serious revamping. Notice how the enemies immediately fall when hit by the chainsaw. Did it work this way in the 360 version? :S

This game has massively disappointed me so far.
It looks worse than Resi4 did when it was first released, hell it looks worse than the PS2 Resi 4.

If you want to see the worst animation I've ever seen in a video game, go to Chapter 3, and watch the video in the bottom row, middle column. Click the red button on the left once it asks you to.
I'm thinking this may become a cult classic if they don't fix this stuff.

This is actually an excuse for the game. I don't think you all appreciate the scale of this game.
I could understand the thought that the game should look like RE4, given it has the engine, but I've played the 360 version, and aside from trading a slightly lower polygon count for better lighting, that version has graphics as advanced as RE4.
I'm not just saying this. The texturing is the same. The shading and mapping is there. Just with two obvious differences: the much larger scale, and the sandbox style over linear. Oh, and dismembering them more than just blowing the head off.
If the 360 can't have character models more advanced than RE4, there is no way the Wii version can have character models as advanced.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Capcom solved almost every issue that made the original Dead Rising a bad game (gun control, time limits, leveling, camera). However they made some stupid decisions to keep this a disappointing port. You can`t just add RE4 gameplay in a game that was not designed to be played like RE4. One of the reasons Dead Rising sucked was because the zombie AI was retarded and they offered no thread (unless you charged at a 200-zombie mob bare handed). In this version they kept the retarded AI added more guns and reduced the zombie numbers. If guns are a bigger part of the gameplay now, they should have reduced the zombies number, increased their health and made them more agressive.
Anyways, fuck you Capcom.

They claim the zombies are more aggressive. It doesn't come across in the videos, but those videos aren't really showing much.
