Yes, it will, and fast.
Killzone 2 will be HUGE. Although it doesn't mean that much, it's currently number one at Amazon, a month before its release. I don't think Resistance 2 was even in the Top 100 at that point in time.

I wouldn't say it means 'nothing' - it shows clear trends.

Killzone 2 has far more hype, better review scores, and from reports, will have much better marketing than Resistance 2. Killzone 2 is Sony's biggest game release thus far this generation (and will probably be Sony's biggest release after GT5 this whole gen). Last year, Resistance 2 was pushed aside by Sony in favor of LittleBigPlanet.
Hell, a Sony representative was quoted as saying he expected Killzone 2 to top MGS4.
So yes, it will outsell Resistance 2. Substantially.

If you want to know whether Killzone 2 will outsell Resistance 2 I do think it will. It seems to have more hype and less competition. Only downside is it lacks the holiday sales, but that didn't really seem to help Resistance a lot either.
Killzone 2 will outsell MGS4, no doubt. I feel sorry for MGS4 in a way, it had great first month sales everywhere, but hardly any legs.

Of course, internet sales rankings are hardly ever representative of real life sales, particularly Amazon's. It does show some general trends however.
Killzone 2 is also the most pre-ordered game at my GameStop, with only the 360 version of SFIV coming close (13 pre-orders total for SFIV - both CE and SE - versus 17 for Killzone, as of Tuesday night).
