Forums - Gaming - Need for Speed splits into three different games

Agree with 2nd post (Requiem), EA has nothing to offer the simulation market with the arcade racers they've been regurcitating over 12 years or so.
Seems to me that instead of a piece of shit, we're being offered three small pieces of turd, the evil is breeding...
NFS should either go back to its roots and become fun again rather than a hip-hop, bling bling, candy coat painting fest or just plain die already.

NFS was the only racer with police chases and they were done very well. This made them stand out. Then EA decided to kill the concept that made the series unique. How's that for executive decision making!

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

A game focusing on awesome graphics (PS360, PC PSP)

The PC version will be free-to-play and begin in the asian market. That to me sounds like it won't be focussed on awesome graphics because that doesn't suit the free-to-play business model.

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

I was talking about Shift not the exclusive PC NFS.

Whoops, sorry, didn't see that was for PC too.

The last time EA churned out a good NFS game was Most Wanted. I bought that game at launch in 2005 on my 360 and I still go back and play it ever now and then. They took be the best parts of the Hot Pursuit and Underground titles and meshed them into one game. After Most Wanted it's been one clusterf*ck after another.

Nitro sounds good, I agree the simulation market is already crowded and it seems unlikely they'll be able to upsurpt the established leaders there.

But Wii is desperate for a serious racer (not Kart) and if they make a great racer I'm sure it'll do well. But for this franchise, that's now a big IF.

As others have said, Nitro sounds like the only good one. Why buy a race sim from EA when there are too many good ones out there, already, for the 360, and will be for the PS3 in GT5?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Shift looks real good by that screen shot finally the cock pit cam is back for a NFS game but yeah i hope it still has the cop chases or im not interested i can just play GT5 if i want a sim

I agree with other the chases is wat made NFS different especially the ones from MW
