Give us the ability to fly, but keep the gameplay simple. The 3D Mario games, and to a lesser degree, Super Mario World (which is incredible!) chased away a lot of my gaming buddies. New Super Mario was just right!

Rise up the difficulty level. NSMB is very fun but too easy.

So basically, Nintendo should:

-keep it easy, but make it hard
-make the overworld less linear, but don't complicate it
-bring back the Koopalings
-toss in the Elite Beat Agents
-keep it 2D
-call it Super Mario World DS, but make it for the Wii
-give Mario the ability to fly
-include Sonic the Hedgehog
-sit back and watch the money come in!

Yeah some great ideas in there. I'd be there to purchase the game on day 1. Also I love the idea of adding a new character, and putting yoshi in.

Anyway all I want is a New Super Mario Bros 2 based on the Mario 3 power ups (hammer brother suit, frog suit, etc).  They can toss in Yoshi as a bonus but I think they should consider leaving Yoshi out for when they release the version based on Super Mario World (New Super Mario Bros 3).

Don't forget, Mario brutally murdered them all in Super Mario World. I don't know when Bowser had long enough with Peach to sire Bowser Jr., but it's going to take a lot longer to rebuild the Koopa Dynasty if Mario keeps interrupting them.

A "2.5D" Super Mario Bros. for Wii would be sooooo awesome.
