With New Super Mario Bros. being such a success it's only a matter of time before we see a sequel. So here's what I'd like to see in it.

• Ditch the 'New' in the title - That's has to be about the laziest title they could think of.
  
• Make the hub world less linear.
  
• Bring back all the Super Mario Bros. 3 power-ups - I don't know why they ditched them in the first place.
  
• Bring back arcade style gameplay - Ever since Super Mario World it seems the series lost it's arcadeyness. The old ones were designed so you can play from start to finish in one sitting without getting bored in the process.
  
• Bring back the Koopalings - What's with Bowser Jr. being Koopas only child all of a sudden? He's basically just Baby Bowser renamed.
  
• Make a Wii version - Why can't the Wii get a nice Mario side-scroller aswell? (don't put puzzles or shoehorned motion controls in it either)

I think the "New" was to implied a similar gameplay to the first Super Mario Bros.

How about "Super Mario Bros. 2009", makes it easier to know which is the latest one :)

With Yoshi back and maybe a new character? Although it didn't work for Sonic :S I'm sure Nintendo would do it well though :P
