NoA is stupidly stupid. If this "awesomelly full" release calendar keeps, I'll mod my Wii to play the games I want to play and they don't want to give me.

hope you can understand Japanese text.

I doubt that's their complete lineup

Do some of you really believe that Nintendo would announce it's entire 2009 lineup on a piece of paper at the beginning of the year?

Since the middle of 2007 how many Nintendo games released for the Wii in North America did we have a lot of information about 6 months before it released?

It's highly likely that we will see games (like Pikmin) turn from being vaporware to being a real game 6 weeks to 3 months before it is released.

The wheel turns.

guys, we need to calm down and think about this for a bit

The region where Wii has the stronger sales is North America, then Europa and Japan is last place. The strength of the “mommentum” follows it.

Nintendo had that huge list for Japan because they are strugling to keep the momentum over there and not make it fade away, and the risk of losing first place in consoles is high.

In Europe, the case is less problematic, the mommentum is strong but not as Nintendo wants. So they release these games first in order to make it stronger or sustain it.

In America, the mommentum is very strong with less first party games, so Nintendo is playing it safe and keeping most of these games in reserve. So when the momentum stats fading, they have these games to keep the interest in the system.

IF you want NOA to release more games, then TRY to convince all these new gamers to NOT buy a Wii

How many more times are people going to be disappointed with something which is obviously incomplete information?

My girlfriend is coming back on Sunday, and she didn't announce what we're gonna do yet... Yet I'm sure I won't be disappointed :P

Yeah, yeah... That explains that bullshit Reggie says about (IN HIS OPINION) the lack of quality about DK: Jungle Beat, and Disaster... And then saying that if we want Fatal Frame 4 released here, we must look for other publisher... Yeah... Not really.

To me is NoA talking shit, and that is becoming common...

There is a bit of logic behind this. America is the last region where the console is still experiencing shortages, so Nintendo of America is focusing their efforts on simply meeting demand for the bigger things, like Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii, and the console itself, so that this is where their resources are being optimized currently, whereas sales are slower (though still dominant) everywhere else, Nintendo Japan and Nintendo Europe have more room to work with

Though it doesn't make business sense in certain respects (alienating your fanbase, losing sales that you could have made by simply making it available), the correlation is definitely there. Of course, correlation =/= causation, but if there were some sort of definitive financial link to match this correlation (something that says NoA is already maxing out their budget or their allowances or something just getting the consoles and the big games here), then we could prove it. I find it hard to believe NoA is doing this just to be mean, or just because they don't care about the titles. Money is money. Atlus makes money on titles that have just as little significance (or less) as Disaster, Fatal Frame, or Trace Memory, so its not like NoA is neglecting these games simply because they don't make enough money. It has to be something deeper
