Apparently I need to watch this movie called Reign Over Me...

hah yea, Adam Sandler plays the game with clips from it 3 or 4 times.

he has that game on one of those projectors lol

Leap that wall if you're so great!!

This is such a load of balls.

When SOTC was "in print" nobody gave to bat shits about it...Now you people who most likely have never even owned a genuine copy of it, worship it as the second coming of christ.

Tell me I'm wrong, but I can't remember ANYONE making a big deal of it back in the day.

You guys just like the elitist association imo.

SotC is, IMO, one of the greatest console games of all time.

If you own a large TV, you MUST have it. You absolutely have to experience fighting colossi on the big screen, surrounded by the thundering footfalls of your titanic enemy as it craters the landscape around you with its gigantic weapon. It is an epic experience.

If the PS3 ever has a game such as it, I will pass out from joy, surrounded by full 7.1 surround, and in front of my HDTV, as I will be. Boss battles are the apex of console gaming, and a game consisting of, basically, an epic adventure of boss battling, is an experience forged from pure awesomeness.

Am I going overboard a little? I kinda think I'm not, really.

I never even knew there was a book or whatever about SOTC. I just seen it at gamestop one day and was like "hmm this looks pretty cool". So I played it and I loved it. Never played ico though...

Personally I thought SotC would be better without all the travelling. Otherwise the fighting of the collosi was AAA.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Strange, I remember it getting lots of attention, lots of 90% plus scores and lots of articles, front page spreads, etc. etc. and was seen as a pretty big deal for the PS2 (which only had a small install base of course and whose games got little coverage)...

Personally, I bought it right away and would rate it around 98%.  So I guess I'm telling you you're wrong.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Never got the chance to play and no BC on my PS3 *cries* ... maybe I'll buy a ps2 again.

Where were you in 2005? =S

OT: Reading the article now.  ^_^

I personally didn't play SotC when it came out, as I was stuck on WoW at the time. However, I ended up coming across the game and fucking loved it. It feels like no game has captured the adventure genre like this game since... maybe the first Zelda.

Team Ico is the #1 reason I have a PS3.

Damn. All that and I have yet to play Ico... must play...
