Now I dont want to go accusing IGN of being Biased because frankly for the most part they are not Biased. In fact I think they are one of the most trustworthy game sites around. But every so often they do little things that could be considered Biased or just playing head scratching sometimes that I have to go Why the fuck would they do that?
Recently A few problems I had with them included
Finally realizing that they Just Re-Hash and all reviews that are multiplat. IE doing a review for only one version of the Game then putting the same review on the other consoles as well. I know have to go to the Head-To-Head compairsions to see which version is superior.
Another gripe with them came when Kojima Productions started to tease MGST and one of the lines on the IGn speculation train was that it might come to the 360 and that they were Hoping that it would. This annoyed me because I have always thought that exclusives helped define the identity and multiplats dont really help distinguish consoles from each other and the fact that IGN wants one of the greatest PS3 games to become multiplat seems to me that they dont want our consoles to distinguish themselves from each other.
My last gripe with IGN comes in the form of IGN always putting their game articles for Multiplat games under the X360 heading, case in point the discussion of FFXIII's new trailer. Now I can understand putting gaming articles under the 360 heading when the game uses the 360 as the lead platform but when the game was announced originally as a PS3 exclusive and using the hardware as its lead platform It should be under the PS3 heading or at least under both.
I know it sounds fanboyish and It probably is but its just something I need to get of my chance

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
