someone help me here, how much money did the gaming division make/lose? I see PS3 is on target to make slightly over the 10 million goal.

Basically they broke even with a $4 million profit.

Considering Sony's forecast for the whole year and the fact that the company as a whole broke even as well, I'm guessing there may be some accounting details pushing a lot of the losses to the next quarter.

i guess so, sony themselves said they are expecting another 300 million in losses in this financial year.  I guess that would be next quarter.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

^ No, that doesn't include FY06.

Q3 ended Dec 31. PS3 shipment through Q2 was 16.84m, so 16.84 + 4.46 = 21.3m

well the numbers make sense then.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

This is what's really hurting Sony (and other Japanese exporters):

@BKK2: The recession and competition actually hurt them more:

Well I meant in terms of the Game segment. From that graph half of the expected losses in the Game segment are due to forex and half are due to lower sales. They didn't note economy and competition for the Game segment.

well economy goes to all division (or all that are exported) but looks like they threw it all into electronics for some reason.

Nintendo is up:
