One of the PS3 hype points brought up is that Versus 13 is a PS3 exclusive and a big deal.  It is set to be an action oriented RPG, from the rumors, but there is like next to NO information on it that has been leaked.

Well, how do we know it won't be another Dirge of the Cerebus, which was an action-oriented game set in the Final Fantast VII universe.  It was an FPS in how it worked, but had RPG elements.

Anyhow, can anyone say why Verses 13 won't be another Dirge?  I am not saying that it will be (one says odds are it won't), but how can one be sure it won't be?  Square has delivered games like The Bouncer in the past.

Because Versus is directed by Tetsuya Nomura, while DoC was directed by Takayoshi Nakazato and The Bouncer by Takashi Tokita (if you've ever heard of them, tell me). I have a lot of confidence in what Nomura is able to do, he's shown with KH2 and TWEWY that he can make amazing games. While the possibility that the game to be bad exists (after all, I can't guarantee 100% that it'd be good), I'm fairly sure that Nomura won't disappoint

Because it's actually going to be RPG like... and by that i mean ARPG like.

Like the Kingdom Hearts games and crap or so i hear.

Oh please I hope its not. But seriosly the team behind Versus XIII is much better and the game looks pretty fantastic in trailers. Though honestly I'm ready for some in-game footage I'm curious as to how this will work.

when are we going to here anything else from this game anyway. i need some info about it, i am stating to feel that the game has gone the way of the dodo

no. dirge was an action game with RPG elements. FFXIII will be an RPG with action elements. its completely different, kinda.
