A week ago they stated 2.3 million expectations for Resi 5, I think that was for whole of 2009, maybe it was just America though? *shrug*.

Anyway, Capcom is screwed if 5-6 million is their real expectation. They aren't going to hit it, they may not even come close, and they wouldn't have to put up numbers that big if they made the game playable on the Wii. HD development will be the death of gaming, I can see it now. Even the biggest companies, like EA, are struggling with the costs of these new machines, and a number of small devs have already died trying to produce just one HD game.

Well not so sure here, 6 million seems easily reachable for RE5 so not sure what you lot are on about. 500k first day in Japan? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

From what I played in the demo, I would be surprised if this game sold over 5M.

Although I won't go as far as saying it won't happen because it most certainly can.

They can reach 5 million. If they advertise this game well it can live up to their hype. I don't think RE5 will do anything special in Japan//but it will do some impact in the Europe and America region.
