According to Nielsen, for 2008:
1. World of Warcraft (Blizzard)
- 671 minutes per week (0.723% of gamers)
That's about 11 hours a week, or ~24 days a year. The game has been out for over 4 years, and currently has 11.5mil subscribers.
It'd be hard to estimate with this data, but I think WoW should have passed a million years of playtime by now. If not now, it'll pass it this year, easily - if people play the game in the rest of the world as much as the US, we're currently looking at a play rate of over 14,000 years per week. Oh, god...
