Famitsu is on its own world when it comes to reviews. Last Remnant got an awesome score, yet it´s at 65% on gamerankings. Famitsu said their reviews are based on how much hyped the games are and considering the fanbase of Star Ocean, the score reflects it. Also ToV is at 83% on gamerankings, just 2% below the Famitsu review.

Personally, I don´t  even care how it will be reviewed. I know I will enjoy much more this RPG than anything else released on HD consoles so far.

SO3's Famitsu score was 32/40 and the game's gamerankings average was 81%.  I am guessing that the gamerankings for SO4 will be 83-87%.  Anything goes at this point.

EDIT:I'd also like to point out that this isn't even the actual Famitsu magazine.  This is Famitsu 360.

Had SO4 got 38/40, ppl in this thread would be xtremely excited even if it's just Famitsu.

Famitsu's scores are inconsistent with Western review scores.  Famitsu scores are based on hype.  Western scores are based on their honest opinions of the game, for the most part.

Doubt that, everybody knows on the VGchartz forums knows that Famitsu is unreliable when it comes to reviews. Bad sign, not really. Persona 4 got 33/40 by Famitsu and it scores a 92,5% on gamerankings...

Will see about sales, I believe the game will surpass LO´s WW sales in one month after release on all territories.

@Riachu: Nah, many western reviewers also seem to get paid to promote some games and highly praise them. Reviews follow suit. I´m pretty sure of that. Only a few are trustworthy and those are mainly independent sites. Game magazines are the worst of the bunch.

I wonder...Is Famitsu 360 the exact same review source as the regular Famitsu?

nice score, lets see if so4 outsells wkc. this is going to be an exciting match, a proven ip that sells decently vs. a new ip. the new ip gets a lower score from famitsu the proven a decent score. one is on the ps3 the other on the 360, so let the games begin!
