No, it's just a really really old site that sucked, didn't have ioi or the source working hard on it, died but now lives on as a pathetic zombie.

NexGenWars is an old old competitor that used fairly bad methods (their numbers updated by an algorithm) and that hasn't been updated in years.

It might have actually pre-dated VGChartz...?

The guy's concept was actually pretty smart. He'd had it set to update by algorithm, but he'd make adjustments when his algorithm was incorrect, and he'd also adjust the algorithm. It was a pretty solid idea but popularity dropped rapidly around New Year's '07, and he pretty much abandoned working with it sometime around March or April.

That Excite Truck review's been "hot" for just about as long.

Nexgenwars used to be somewhat accurate at the very beginning (PS3-Wii launch). After like what, early '07, they messed up and the site kinda died. The reviews there are like 2 years old.
