That doesn't change Willem's point, which is that European price tags already include VAT. That should be taken in account when comparing EU with US prices, as Faxanadu did.

Europeans can get a PS3 for 290 € + shipping (from Amazon UK). That's $330 before tax, so cheaper than the Amazon USA promotion.

The big sale boosted the PS3 up to #9 on the amazon bestseller list. Just under my fitness coach for the wii at #8.
