So Final Fantasy XIII will arrive in 2010 or 2011 in Europe or America?  Japan in late 2009 or some time in 2010? Big deal. Final Fantasy games are boring as hell just like the entire JRPG genre.

This thread has been written in defense of the Zelda series thread.

So who agrees with me that Final Fantasy series is the most over rated game series of all time?

I personally think its over rated to an extent and I'm going to leave it at that.



Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.

GT5 will sell 3.2million + first week on ps3 (made 06 March 2010)

FFXIII Versus will have higher Metacritic scores than FFXIII after the first month.... Bet going on with perpride - loser changes sig for a month

KH3 will be PS3 EXCLUSIVE - willing to bet removal from vgchartz for a month

i wouldnt say its the most overated.

some ff games were rubbish like 10-2 and 9

but is is overated as a franchise, no matter how ff13 turns out it will sell the most.



...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

Woh there, 9 is rubbish? Heck I enjoyed X-2 as well.

As a franchise, I agree it's over rated, less over rated then Halo games but more then say Twisted Metal but all the games are consistantly good and I'd put near all FF above most other RPGs I've played. Even XII with it's battle system.

 

Except XI (11), online only bullcrap can go suck itself.

The series is probably a little over rated compared to say the Tales series of games, which are also great JRPG's and do not sell anywhere near what they should. That said, most of the Final Fantasy games are a lot of fun to play.

how was final fantasy 9 rubbish? I found Final Fantasy 9 to be the best Final Fantasy outside of ff6, and maybe ff4. Final Fantasy 8 and 10 were rubbish next to the far superior 9!! (not saying they were bad just not as good as 9)
