Forums - Microsoft - Does the 360 have any real exclusives?

I think PC and Ps2 is a completely different situation. The only ones supporting Ps2 now are Sony 1st party studios. PC will never not be a viable platform while the Ps2 is dying and gaes that are on that system now is being outsold by its younger brother. (Gundam and PES come to mind)

How does that make them exclusive games though? Some of them sold more on PS2 than PS3, making PS2 a very viable platform taking sales away from PS3 games right? I just don't get why PS3 should get the benefit of the doubt and not 360. I'm just trying to be fair here for all parties and that is to use the strictest form of exclusivity.

Nice list Onyxmeth, thanks for putting in all the hard work. It was about time someone put this to the test with factual data. I, for one, appreciate what you did here......dont let any "haters" get you down.

Cut out the wall of quotes guys, geeze.

Interesting thread here. Lots of weird disputes though. Such as removing games before the PS3 release. So these games no longer available for the 360 after the PS3 releases? People can still play them. And people can only play them on 360.

I think the issue is more relevant if people are still buying the games, as opposed to still playing them.

People, and I mean lots of people, are still playing lots of PS1 games on their PS3.  Should Onyx throw them into the list as well?  Or do they not matter any longer?  Perhaps, since the PS2 and XBox 360 overlap, in terms of still being available for sasle, we should write up a list of PS2 exclusives, and compare it to the XBox 360 as well?

The only relevant issue, with regards to exclusives, are the upcoming ones, and those still available at retail.  Those are the ones that are the focus of user choice, when purchasing a new console.  Old exclusives are immaterial, except to those consumers willing to find used games.  Many of the XBox 360's exclusives are so old, and some so rare, that they are near impossible to find... but of course they should be counted as equals amongst the best sellers?

I think its obvious what a pointless thread this is.  Counting exclusives, beyond whats easily available for purchase, is practically  meaningless.

Really?  Old 360 games are hard to find?  Notice that I have recently played King Kong(Yes I know, it was multiplat, but it still fits here).  Your argument does not stand.

Based on the fact that you played an old multiplatform game ?

So an exclusive 360 game would be harder to find than a bad multi platform game? LOL.  You guys are struggling.

The quality of the multiplatform game isn't the issue , the distribution of the multipaltform game is . It's all a matter of how heavily shipped and distributed the title was , whether it's exclusive or not is irrelevant.

@Kung Fu Magic  : I can't be bothered to discuss the issue further with you , your the only person who seems to have an issue with that point and that's really down to you not reading it properly.

So you have just narrowed your criteria.  If the game came out before the PS3 release, AND was not heavily distributed, AND etc., AND etc., AND etc.. LOL.

Halo 3 and Gears 2 and Fable II are most certainly headed for PC like the prequels, probably within a year or so. SIREN and Hot Shots Golf will probably also make a crossover in time (I realize that none of this matters right now, just pointing out that these games probably won't remain exclusive to one platform).

Why do you make these threads anyway? You've been particularly aggressive on these subjects lately. Its not like anyone is going to get a clue from any of it anyway.

What other aggressive threads have I made lately? Also what about this seems aggressive? I've been very nice and very accommodating to everyone in this thread thus far starting from the OP.

Also some people actually have gotten a clue because of this thread. Many were under the assumption that almost all of 360s exclusives were also on PC and I'm showing it's not true. It's called Mythbusters, and it's a good show and a fun time! Why do you care whether I drop some knowledge?

Well for the sake of a fair and "unbiased" comparison a pretty specific criteria would be neccasery , simply "lol"ing in caps doesn't give any strength to your argument.

I didn't hear of any special criteria involved with determining what pre-PS3 exclusive games should not be counted before I posited the question.  All I heard was that none of the games should be counted.  Feel free to give your thoughts on what games you think should be removed and how big you believe the distribution was for said games.  Good luck with providing any factual data for those claims.
