Doesn't run linux.

There aren't that many games that interest me that aren't on PC or PS3. Plus I don't want to pay for live, so games like Halo and Gears would be losing a big component. So pretty much I'd be buying it for ToV, Ace Combat 6, Dead Rising, and Crackdown.

Actually the holiday bundle turned me off of it. If a bundle that actually has a game I will play comes around, I will probably buy it. At the moment though, I would much rather use the $200-300 completing my PS2 library.

The Xbox brand has abandoned the type of games I liked on the original Xbox. Games like Blinx, Voodoo Vince, and Whacked! They can't even do Banjo Kazooie right.

That and PS3 and Xbox are basically the same thing. Like SNES and Genesis. Only rich kids get both. Except I get free online play with PS3. Mostly the first reason though.

The 360 is a 430 dollar system in the end plus the cost of live (which I wouldnt get). Simple as that. The 200 dollar arcade is just a teaser. Games are now designed for mass storage (DLC/Patches). You need a memory unit to back up saves. Sorry guys but I don't trust HDD's with my 50 hour saves. The PS3 I just use my USB Jump Key. And I need wi-fi. Oh, rechargable battery and charge cable.

It just adds up. My PS3 I have purchased the following.... PS3, HDMI cable and that is it.

I have jumped in and after having my system break TWICE. I got pissed. I'm not going to let microsoft do that to me especially if I can get the same experience on a PC most the time.

You must have been a fan of the sony retail chart recently.

My next hardware purchase is going to be a gaming PC which crushes the 360. After that comes a DS, a few classic systems and a replacement PSP. I have nothing against the 360, it just isn't the best place I can spend my hardware budget.

EDIT: I forgot about paying for XBL, I'd do without online gaming with the 360 which kills the prospect of a purchase

- already run MS software on my pc. I don't want them taking over my living room as well.
- I'm a PC gamer so some games already come out on PC. Mass effect for one.
- RROD hasn't been completely cleared out. I'm still worried, esp after a mates new 360 rrod on the weekend while we were playing naruto :(
- after buying addons it won't be cheap.
- Majority of the games don't target my interests. True alot on ps3 don't as well but I got a hand full which I really enjoy.
- I Spent my second console money on a Wii.

it feels like i would betray sony and im a 1 console per gen guy or at least the early part of the gen

there's only gears and L4D and Dead Rising that im interested in the 360 and L4D might come to ps3 DR2 might come to ps3 that leaves only gears that's not enough

Wow, whats with the 360marketing recently? Is M$ paying you guys? Owning a 360 and ps3 is redundant. I'm sure the J man would figure that one out soon.
