I believe UK is the most discount centric in this manner, at least from what I see travelling around Europe as my job takes me.

Also, mostly, unless it's just lucky timing, I've found online purchase will get you additional discounts.

Due to poor in-store control its not too uncommon to find strange pricing as well, sometimes in your favour, sometimes not.

For example I've seen HMV stores with near enough full priced Uncharted next to Platinum priced Uncharted because the signal hasn't come down to alter the previous stock accordingly prior to the platinum shipment. I've also seen full price games with some stock incorrectly priced lower on many occasions.



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
