From what I remember Fallout 1 ended. It was also TIMED which made it brutal. If you took too long, the super mutants kill everyone, and game over. So 3 is definetly looser than that.

Fallout 2 I never ended up beating, it was pretty rough.

Also who judges it as a shooter? TBH I'd love it as a shooter with that much depth, it's deus ex again.

Incredible game, I have no criticisms of. Slaughtered Fable 2 and the other RPGs of the year easily.



Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.
