There are massive amounts of threads claiming that Killzone 2 will be the "greatest gamez evahz! omgwtfbbq!", but for every thread posted there is about 20 posts withing it claiming killzone will be a huge let down with nothing, but dissapoint and mediocre reviews. While people maybe a little over excited, some people are just down right cynical claiming a games going to be junk. Play the game before you judge. Many people got hyped for GTAIV to find out it was nothing special, many of those people who were claiming that one was going to be one of the greatest games (including me) will admit it was a huge let down.

Killzone though will absolutely not be a letdown at least for multiplayer. I was lucky enough to get into the beta, and just playing a mere beta I can say that the game, will not dissapoint no matter how hyped it is. The multiplayer is as solid as a 3 foot wall of solid adamantium. Ask any person who was in the beta they will tell you exactly what I'am saying right now. Quit the nesaying, if you don't wanna get hyped don't, but don't couph up garbage if you havn't played it.

Your post is a mess. First you're getting on people for ragging on Killzone 2 without playing it, but you aren't doing the same for people that are praising it without playing it, even though you acknowledge and make fun of them. Secondly, you acknowledge it's not good to overhype and use GTA IV as an example but then say there's no amount of hype this could receive that would be overhype for Killzone 2. For every point you made to the effect of stopping the naysayers you have another statement that completely contradicts it or makes you look like a hypocrite. Really what was the point here, other than trying to attract the exact people you're asking to quit being cynical into this thread?

The problem with hype, is that when the game is released, expectations created by word of mouth (hype threads) as opposed to the merits of the game itself, will cause people to become "upset" (for lack of a better word) because they assumed that this game would change gaming forever, and when it didn't, they become disillusioned and judge the game more harshly then they would have if they had not been hyped into believing this game will be a masterpiece.

I personally believe it will be a great game, finishing up in the 80's, but much like uncharted (a previously overhyped and now overrated game), every fault of the game will be more glaringly obvious because I was told to expect a flawless experience. This happened with MGS4 aswell, but the game's faults were clearly laid out during the hype (long cutscenes is the big one, where as no one has mentioned (in hype threads) the issues with KZ2 (and previously uncharted).

That's why I'm creating anti-hype in those threads (I'm one of the 20 posts you talk about), because KZ2 will be a great game, similarly to how GTA4 is a great game, but when people expect something awesome, and get something that was outside of what they defined awesome, then the game will be hated.

Obviously there are haters that just want to shoot the game down, but I'm not one of them (and I'm sure at least 5 of those "20" posts are the same).

Pretty much was i was trying to say was let people who are hyping the game hype away at it, just don't go in the thread and be a negative nancy without actually playing the game and trying to reassure people the game is worthy of the hype unlike GTAIV was and even with it all it won't make your experience any less enjoyable.

The game will be OK, but the problem with KZ is that it is only a game and not a movement like Gears or Halo. Also the problem is that silly people create threads like " KZ2 is better then Crysis", "KZ2 is best game ever", etc. We all know that its non of them and when someone buy's it and finds that out you will be disappointed.

To make a game good it needs to connect with the players and I have been playing games for over 25 years and KZ2 has not connected with me. I have know idea who the main man is. Even my wife knows Master Chef, that is how you make a game good, people need to get into the spirt of the game and KZ doesn't do that. So it will be OK and thats albout it.

I think people are just getting sick of hearing about KZ2. In all probability, it will be mediocre like the original.

thats what im trying to get at. Many of us have played it, and we know it's better. The gameplay will not dissapoint, the graphics won't. Many lucky people got into a beta, we played it, we can vouch for it. This is a lot of gamers all agreeing, have you seen any "killzone 2 gameplay sucks ass!!" threads? I have however seen tons and tons of Killzone beta impressions with even a post from me (which got deleted cause i posted too early breaking NPD)
