Forums - Sales - Your Blu-Ray buying habits?

Funny, since Blu-Ray has come out and I've even now started buying some, I feel even more compelled to still buy DVD though. I look at the prices of many Blu discs and the price tags are usually near $20 and often more. Then, I see stores like Best Buy having some great movies on sale for DVD at $4.99 or $6.99. And since many of the Blu-Ray movies so far are mediocre, it's ahrd to jusitfy buying a lot of them when a lot of great movies are so cheap now on DVD.

I know eventually that prices of B-R discs will drop but until then, I probably won't buy too many. I really only like to spend $10 or even less for movies unless it's something I really want and like a lot.

I'll come up with something better eventually...

Around the Network

I'm not a huge movie watcher, but I do buy my favorites on Blu-ray. I have about 20 BRs + Planet Earth BR and no DVDs. I usually buy new movies on Amazon for $24. I can watch them on my ps3 at my apt, or on my brother's ps3 at home, or my dad's BR player, so locations available are not a problem. My PC isn't fast enough to play HD so no loss there, plus this crap is 1024x768.

I'm the only one with a Blu-ray player (PS3) among the people whom I enjoy watching movies with. I tend to buy the DVD so that I can watch them anywhere as opposed to Blu-ray wich I can only watch in one room of my house. Pixar and blockbusters only, are my Blu-ray purchases.
