I don't know if other people would like this, but it would be cool if there were a darker version of the current layout.

Let me take a wild guess - you're using an LCD with ATI graphics?

If its not too much maybe make an option to change the baby blue to navy blue or red or green. Something for eveyone.

What is this meant to imply?

Well, I do a lot of stuff related to graphics, display cards and monitors and a few months ago we had an issue with a whole batch of LCD screens that looked far, far too bright - and we realized it was the combination of ATI Radeon X300s with IBM LCD panels that made colors similar to VG Chartz look too pale. They lacked contrast and were a few notches above the regular brightness and contrast levels of Dell panels with the same Radeons. Therefore, we had to come up with new hex values for a gamut of colors. I simply thought that the OP, since s/he mentioned something about the lightness of VG Chartz' colors, may have similar equipment (like I said - a wild guess).

Also my signature looks better on darker layouts. ;)

I prefer the original gray color myself...
