So I've got this Jayne-sized problem and I'm hoping that there's a quick and painless solution for it. PSN keeps signing me out for no gorram reason. It's gotten so bad that I cannot get through a single deathmatch in CoD4, nor can I log into Home. I have a shiny new router, lightning-speed Internet, and I'm not experiencing any connection problems with any of my other equipment. My computer (which is four feet away to the right of my PS3, in which the router sits gracefully halfway between), reports strong signal strength. I have even disabled that sharing thingy that reportedly causes these sorts of problems. So what the frak? Has anyone had to deal with this before? I just want to shoot people. Politely.

It is the wireless signal of the PS3 controller interfering with your router signal. I had the same problem, it shows a strong signal strength, but it causes very brief disconnects/weak signal moments, which log you out of the PSN.
Move the router away from the PS3/where you sit with control (like other rooms away), or since it is so close run a wire out of your router and connect your PS3 with a wired connection.

my router is downstars, and I have a 92% signal, my connection is good... PSN is down... at least for me... maybe CoDWaW is down??? But it does say "You have been logged out of the PSN...."
it is really annoying.. I dont have much time to play usually and it pisses me off when the PSN crashes. For as much as people diss nintendo's online, I have never had Mario Kart go down on me (only Wii game I have ever played online)...
This is the 4th or 5th time PSN has gone to shit, this keeps happening, I am going to have to think about getting something else (tries not to think about having to get a 360.......)
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
