i was wanting to play super mario galaxy again last night, and for some reason, my wii just did not want to read when the cutscene came up. i don't know why.

could someone please start a new savegame file with just the first star acquiered so i can skip that one cutschene  my wii seems to hate.

Clean the disc. If you have any fluid and a cloth that is used to clean glasses, that would be ideal. That will be the problem - my Brawl disc refused to load Final Destination, but after I cleaned it it's worked fine.

Give your wii's laser a clean too.

If that was the fault, it would happen with every disc or happen randomly. Since this is a specific fault, it's most likely a specific place on the disc. But, yes, if you find it happening with other discs or it happens with all SMG disks, ask Nintendo to repair your Wii.

Whatever the cause, even if you got another save file it may still crash at other points in the game.
