I thought that after all these letdowns, PS3 boys and girls would become more mature. But it seems that with every new ...Halo Killer on the way (first MGS, then LBP, now KZ2) they are getting worse and worse.

microsoft has always been good at copying. they also have a track record of crushing the pioneer on their attempts--largely because they can throw globs and globs of money, or through anti-competitive measures. netscape, wordperfect, lotus, java, the list goes on. even the Xbox is beginning to look that way, if only in the US. and i'm sure the next generation, XBox will copy whatever they can from the Wii and PS3.

will they succeed? i won't bet against them. the only notable exception so far has been search--they're nowhere close to beating google. but that's precisely because they didn't perceive a threat until google was in an unassailable position.

And, of course, Halo is a rip off of Killzone 2.

As for it being "pathetic", well the idea is to answer what competitors are doing with your own approach, so you don't lose marketshare.

Anyone that thinks this was made to compete with Little Big Planet needs their head examined. It's an XNA game, which is the dumping ground for every garage development team to throw games at the wall and see what sticks. Basically it's two steps below XBLA in sales potential, and XBLA is about 5 steps below retail in sales potential, which happens to be where Little Big Planet is...IN RETAIL!

I don't see what this has to do with LBP. It's no more a response to LBP than LBP was a response to SMash Bros.
