Forums - Microsoft - Lionhead Studios: Fable II on PC Imminent

WTH.

I hate this porting to PC crap.

1. It makes it hard for us X360 fans - we can't bragg that our great games are exclusive to the X360. Everyone can claim that they have a PC, so everyone gets our great games. :/

2. It lowers sales of the X360 because people will think that most of the exclusives come to PC eventually.

3. I feel like I wasted money on Fable II when I could have waited a lil bit and got it for free on the PC.

4. Tough decision about Resident Evil 5. Should I buy it for the X360 or wait for a PC version?

Whilst I totally agree, I wouldn't have it any other way, as this situation is one of the very reasons I went with the PS3/PC combo. As it stands I get to play almost every game I want to play, and invariably I get better versions than the 360 offerings. This is primarily because either:

1) The PC version is better -- Mass Effect, Gears of War, Fallout 3 (I'm after the exclusive DLC not available on PS3 as of yet, so I went with the PC version), etc.

2) The PS3 gets added features because it was ported over later (such as Bioshock, Alone in the Dark, Red Alert 3, etc).

As I have a pretty kick ass PC, I see little reason to buy a 360. However, for people without a decent PC, I understand the attraction, especially as it's so cheap to buy a 360 just now (assuming you don't go for all the peripherals and extras -- if you do, I think a PC is a far better buy for your money, and certainly more useful).

So, your unhappiness is understandable, but forgive me if I'd rather it was my way than yours.

Fable II is short if you speed your way through the main story, not if you do everything available

Hey, take another look for that. Everyone who is saying that is still playing it on ms-platforms. ;) It is just extra money for our beloved Microsoft!

Yes! thats one of the HD games i was dying to get my hands on ! Fable II PC is something i wanted really badly, well there is really one more reason for not buying an HD console this gen (for me).

Don't bother, they have no proof or anything. They just want more hits I guess and making up rumors is the best way to do it.

LOL. Why the hell does Lionhead send WhatIfGaming the breaking news?
