When you get a game, do you read the manual?

Possible answers include...

A)  I always read the manual.  How else would I know how to play?

B)  I sometimes read the manual though usually only when I can't start playing immediately.

C)  I almost never do but will if I get stuck or can't figure something out.

D)  Never.  Manuals are for the weak.

Mostly C, sometimes B.

Does anyone ever read a console game manual???

No seriously...

I did for PC RPGs cause they'd often have backstories and character info and relevant info to help decide class but otherwise, no never (unless the game tutorial really sucks - in which case the manuals usually do too)

What's this manual thing you're talking about?

Yeah, usually while I'm waiting for a loading, or I must wait before playing (I'm expecting to get some games next week, but I won't be able to play them immediately, so I'm sure I'll read them)

Electronic manuals almost never though, only if I'm playing games like Europa Universalis III where the tutorial and in-game tooltips are not enough.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

It depends ... If I can't play the game right after the purshase then yeah, I might read it.

i read it when i'm riding a cab home after buying the game or when i'm really bored, but i always read it.

Nope. Sometimes I'll flip through it, but I never really read anything.

It's odd though, because when I buy used games, I'm pissed when they don't include the manual.

never!
