The fact that Bboid can't do it without getting a Wii, which he wont due on account of being a fanboy. So instead of accepting that its a good way to get some excercize in your own home, he'll just bash the whole concept.... at least until his beloved PS3 gets something exactly similar, then claim it to be a whole ton better than Wii Fit. You know how it goes around here.

What the fuck are you talking about? I had a Wii, I played the games I wanted to, I gave it to my mother.  I have owned all 3 systems since launch.  I have not bashed the concept, I have given it props, I just don't agree with the idea of people using it as a stand-alone exercise routine for the long term or suggesting 30 minutes of Wii Fit is a great way to get in shape.  It is a nice segway but it is far from a good long term exercise unit.  It has insanely good applications for retirement communities, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals, especially in children's wards.  But to replace or adopt Wii Fit as your sole exercise unit isn't the best choice.  As I said: "WiiFit is a great tool to use in conjunction with an exercise routine but not as a standalone routine."; this means it is great to use it as amusement, but in conjunction with a structured exercise routine and individual focus aside from motivation supplied from a high score or trainer in a game.  As I have said before the only part I am overly judgemental of is Yoga.  Yoga is spiritual and being part of a video game erodes the entire experience that is involved with Yoga.

Calling me a Fanboy to PS3?  You are dead wrong.  All 3 units have given me a good experience.  Each unit has a unique feature that I prefer over the others but in the end Wii didn't have the software to hold my attention or the people that visit my house so it went to my mother after seeing her enjoy it.  The console that reigns supreme in my house is whatever console my social network is on or want's to play when they come over (360 now).  Furthermore, next gen the ONLY console I will buy is from nintendo.  So yes I must be a ps3 fanboy.  If PS3 or 360 ever releases something like this I will voice the same opinion and iif I don't then you can call me out.

Well, apparently some people do.  There are even Wii Fit Diets published.  If you read this entire thread you will even discover people using it as a sole means of exercise.  Maybe I just have a gripe with some aspects of the video game world when certain people mistake a virtual experience for an actual experience.  It really all started to annoy me with my own anecdotal experiences when a co-worker decided not to goto the gym with me because he "did his wii fit exercise in the morning" or the secretary who loved Wii Fit Yoga but wouldn't try the actual experience ONCE.  Sorry if I come off cold but I will ALWAYS advocate for actual exercise, a real yoga experience, learning and playing real instruments in conjunction with these video games, especially if they are passionate about what they have learned.  Wii Fit/ music genre games are a learning tool for the real experience, we all must remember this.

Edit: I also won't tolerate being called a Fanboy for no apparent reason when no mention or comparisons to other consoles have even been brought up in these posts. Especially when I'm expressing concern/dislike for a single game, not the console.  I'll admit I did so poorly and maybe too judgemental at first, but this fanboy post by bardicverse is absolute BS.

If you are refering to me, you are incorrect. I think WiiFit is a nice supplement, but not the only excersize someone needs.

A little Wii Fit is the perfect amount of exercise for someone wanting to maintain a fit body.

Loosing weight however is an entirely different ball of wax.
