Only thing good about it is you can still get $37 store credit for it at Gamestop if you trade it in. I literally just traded it in today.

By the way if you still own CoD4 and don't play it anymore, you can get $37 store credit at gamestop/eb games for that as well.

I didn't play multiplayer, so is it different than the first one, I've been only playing Horde, and single player.  You have wait way too long to get connected so i've never tried it.

 

They implemented some BS system where you can never play against the same team twice, and have to search for another game everytime a game ends. Thats all fine and dandy for RANKED MATCHES, but howzabout they don't **** up the enjoyment of the people who want to play it for the FUN?

 

Gears 2 Multiplayer is fun and the patch DID help clear up some of the glitches and make the weapon hit detection a bit more solid, but there is still work to be done.  It's like you can see the perfection it could be through the fog of what it is.

But you are correct, the lobby system is screwed up, Gears 1 was better for non-ranked matches.  Oh and kutasek, rarely do you have to wait that long anymore for matchmaking.

It took me about 12 hours to complete the campain mode on this game on the easiest setting!!! And of course there was plenty of replay value! Go and get this game today people!

i freaking love this game. a lot of aspects about it are great and in many ways, it improved over the first one. i feel like the first's multi was a little better because i could pick which kind of game i wanted to play. the party system is excellent and the game more balanced. i do feel like the first is a little more hardcore but gow 1 and 2 are easily my favorite games on the 360 and probably this generation

How come everytime I play a match in Gears of War 2 the teams are always uneven? I will decide to do an Elimination that is supposed to be 5 vs. 5 and it ends up being 5 vs. 2 and everyone quits and it sux.

This game was probably my biggest disappointment of 2008. I will probably start a thread about that eventually. It was a great game, but the first Gears left me thinking this was going to be fucking epic - it wasn't.

I still say Gears 1 beats Gears 2 any day of the week.

I really gotta check out this game if its what it's cracked out to be. Looks amazing, especially character details but i'm positive that I wont like it as much as the other "GoW" series.

I LOVED Gears of War 2. It's not a revolution in gaming, but it did everything I wanted it to do. The best part is that it doesn't make Gears 1 obsolete. Both games offer a lot of different stuff and (for me) the battles never got old. Can't wait to play this one again.
