nintendo would kill them. why do people still bet against nintendo? they run videogames. they put the game in games! its been like this for over 20 years.

Yeah, i get what your saying and i agree to some extent, sony has been stupid ever since there original pres left.
But ya gotta admit... see'n games like God of war and Gears of War on ONE console would be a dream come true with the hardware betweem MS and Sony... OMG 4D CGI Graphics!!! :D
Doubtful, if you look at the current standings. In a month or two Wii will be the dominant "platform" (as devs see it, treating PS360 as one "platform" as they do), so even combining their efforts will yield more, and make for a closer race, but not to victory
Aside from the fact that more marketshare and blu-ray support are the only things that a unified PS360 platform would have over the 360 itself. It wouldn't bring anything particularly compelling to the table.
Equally, Nintendo will have a leg up next gen (whether they blow it or not remains to be seen), so if Sony and/or Microsoft don't adapt to the new rules of the game, it'll be another cakewalk for Nintendo in gen 8

Did Nintendo kill Sony last generation? No even the Xbox managed to outsell it. Regardless if it was a bleeder, it still beat the GC.
Your forgetting that it is an unfair fight right now with PS3, 360, PC and all 3rd parties trying AND FAILING BIGTIME to beat Nintendo.

It would have the most stellar line up of games a console has ever seen, probably an AAA game out every month xD
Another good reason I would'nt want it to happen, my wallet is hurting enough as it is!

Also they'd charge like 70-80$ a pop for one game, which we do not WAN.

Sony and MS are more rivals in several markets than either one of them is with Nintendo. Sony and MS have conflict of interests in computer peripherals, media formats, gaming hardware and software.
I COULD picture Sony reviving Sega, Nintendo's big supporter, to build a new system around SCE and Sega software.

XBox has been around for 2 generations... and it didn't come close to winning either.
Sony Won 2 generations, and is in last place for this gen.
Nintendo won 2 generations, came in second for a generation, came in thrid a generations, and is now in first, and stronger then ever! And has been making profit, even in its worst buisness years... They saved gaming not once, but twice... And With the DS and Wii, They have a definite future.

Why not MS and Nintendo ally to defeat Sony.
Both MS and Nintendo hate Sony. MS entered the console space to beat Sony, not Nintendo and Nintendo has been humiliated by the PS1 and PS2 beating their consoles.
EDIT: My prediction is actually coming true as we speak, yours however is a pipe dream.
