Forums - Nintendo - whats the chance of someone like me getting his hands on a wii dev kit?

i've recently heard of the horror story of this one guys trying to make a game called bob's game, and trying to get a dev kit to make the game for the ds, and nintendo never listened to them.

i personally would love to just have a wii dev kit so i could make a couple of small wiiware games. what did the the people that made world of goo have to go through?

thoughts?

Traditionally, you'll need to have at least 1 published game done, have a proper office as a main base of operations - like a physical office, not an office in your house. Also, you'll need to be incorporated - easy task, costs about $400 US. Then Nintendo visits your office, makes sure you're legit. THen you fork over money for the dev kit.

Now, Wiiware is aimed at smaller devs, and might have less demands, not sure exactly on that. Havent researched it yet

Not gonna happen, bud. Try making some pc freeware first.

bardicverse is very much correct. Until then Nintendo won't even look at you.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

Yea, it's not a very easy process to get a dev kit for a system :(. Some universities might have one though.
