^^ I would be happier with your scenario of the island doing weird shit but I will put money on him not being dead.

Though remember they cant change anything. If it's going to happen it will as Daniel said. That is the best excuse for him not dying when getting shot like that at least imo.

Right. Because nothing can be changed, Ben will come back to life. The island will see to it. It brought Locke back on two seperate occasions and there's no reason to think it needs to be something idiotic like Ben miraculously making it through a shot to the heart from a trained killer. You need to remember that no one on Lost gets shot in the head. Libby, Ana Lucia and Shannon all got shot in the chest and never came back. They do this because showing a shot to the head is gruesome and unecessary for prime time network television.

But the bone poking out of Locke's leg is ok? That thing was disgusting.

Anyway, loved the episode. I felt like it was leading you on with the whole redemption theme, which made the final scene even more of a surprise. I'm wondering if Jack will operate on Ben again, in case he is alive. That would be pretty cool.

Nah that was pretty gruesome, but it doesn't change my position. All deaths involving gun shots on Lost, either permanently dead, or temporarily dead people have all been shots to the chest. There's no reason to speculate little Ben is alive merely because he was shot in the chest because that is where everyone gets shot, and five seasons of deaths prove this.

Looking forward to this upcoming episode. Watched the sneak peaks and things are moving forward nicely to "The Incident".

CSI is way better than LOST. But its OK.

When does it air in the US? Where is my torrent??????????????????????

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

JOHN LOCKE IS BACK,

Funny how after this ep. you realise Richard is nothing more than Linus, another primitive human trying in vain to control the islands destiny.

L&O>CSI

Yeah Richard was this mysterious, non-aging fellow who look like he knew what the deal was, now he appears like a chump. I hope he is feigning ignorance though and just going along with it.

Richard is an odd character, I don't really understand his motivations.

  1. He's obviously connected to the island since he's some sort of advisor to it and has been around forever
  2. He has no problem with taking people to atomic bomb to destroy the island
  3. Since he didn't know those people were coming, how would he know what is going to happen with the bomb?  You would assume taking Jack to it would mean allowing Jack to detonate it.

I thought I understood the time travel till this last episode. We know they all die - which has no affect on their future? How can you have lived 2 lives? Or are they going to make it as if they never went back in time...? I dunno, I give up on that.

John Locke is back with a vengeance though, ready to kick some ass again. Richard Alpert is the best character on this show besides Locke, every scene with him is great. Pumped for next week's finale - I saw that there was another new recap episode and was like FUCK they are going to drag this out another week - turns out the final episode is right after it, haha, all is good.

^ And all this really suggests ultimately that it is none of these people, linus, widmore, hawking or albert, that are controlling destiny's. Its the island controlling all of them, for its own purpose of which we dk yet.

I hate, hate, hate, HATE Lost season finale's. They always pack many more unknowns on us.

I agree with you though, Richard and Locke are two of the shows most interesting/mysterious characters.
