Richard is an odd character, I don't really understand his motivations.
- He's obviously connected to the island since he's some sort of advisor to it and has been around forever
- He has no problem with taking people to atomic bomb to destroy the island
- Since he didn't know those people were coming, how would he know what is going to happen with the bomb? You would assume taking Jack to it would mean allowing Jack to detonate it.
